Escape on Water

Saturday 10th October 10am-2pm

Setting sail from Waterways experience at Nash Mills Recreation centre we will enjoy a 4 hour cruise taking in the beautiful scenic waterways of Hertfordshire.

Our comfortable barge is fully manned by an expert crew but they do encourage passengers to have a go at steering the vessel and operating the four locks that we pass through under the crews supervision. If you think you may like to open locks the skipper suggests suitable footwear such as trainers or walking boots!

You can also be dropped off to walk along the canal path for a stretch and then get back on board.

We provide refreshments of

biscuits, cake, tea and coffee for you to enjoy on board. If you have any dietary requirements please contact us using the form below so we can ensure you are included. Some participants like to bring a sandwich too, you are welcome to do so.

Finally and most importantly, don’t forget your knitting!
