Colour work knitting looks impressive- once mastered is easy and incredibly satisfying and will enhance your knitting projects significantly. We offer classes featuring a small project in Fairisle and Intarsia that will give you the necessary skills to use forthwith on larger projects.

Intarsia Workshop
Intarsia knitting is a technique that creates blocks of solid colour in your project without stranding- i.e. carrying the extra colours across the back of the work as in Fairisle.
This 3 hour workshop is a small project that will introduce you to the technique and build your confidence when working intarsia into larger garments. The class includes materials, pattern, tuition and refreshments. you will need to bring either 3.75mm, 4mm knitting needles .
Fair Isle Workshop
The other method of colour work in knitting is Fair Isle- getting its namesake from the Scottish Fair Isles where it originated. It is utterly addictive once mastered and will really enhance your knitting abilities! Our workshop is a head band – or cowl if you want to make it longer. Worked in the round it will introduce you to the technique and grows quickly, for an extremely satisfying project that you will love making, and wearing!
Workshop includes materials refreshments , pattern and tuition. you will need to bring 4mm circular needle 40cm in length.
